    Agriculture is the leading and most reliable sector in the expected development renaissance in Sudan, as it represents about 31.6% of the GDP, contributing about 9% of the country's non-oil exports. 50.23% of the population works in the agricultural field Total area = 600 million acres The area of arable land = 200 million acres Cultivated area annually = 40 million feddans Investment promotion policies and regulations Economic liberalization policies led to the transition from a command economy to a market economy to enhance investment and foreign trade. These regulations resulted in: Abolishing taxes on raw agricultural products. Abolishing export taxes on agricultural commodities. Supporting agricultural inputs and reducing financing costs.     Certificate of Good Conduct You must make an appointment prior to come to apply Any request that is not completed will be rejected. Please attached all requested documents together and send it at once. The embassy takes fingerprints on the certificate of good conduct then send it with all requested documents to be processed by the Sudanese Ministry of Interior. Require ments: Personal attendance of the applicant. Two passport-size photos. Passport used in Sudan. Your occupation when you were in Sudan. Attach return envelope (Prepaid) with full address to send the documents back. We advice to get tracking number for the envelope.     Birth Certificate: Please note that the Embassy in Canberra does not issue birth certificate, which has been replaced by the national ID certificate, the birth certificate are issued once in a lifetime and the national ID certificate can issued by the General Administration of the Civil Registry in Sudan or one of its offices in some Sudanese embassies abroad (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, UAE, China...). The Embassy issues birth certificates for new born children only. Requirements: Copy of Australian Birth Certificate. A letter addressed to the embassy to obtain a Sudanese birth certificate. Parents' marriage certificate. Copy of Parents Sudanese Passport or National Number. Attach return envelope (Prepaid) with full address to send the documents back.
